Monster Hunter XX for Nintendo Switch Gets New Gameplay Showing Nakarkos Battle

Capcom showcased another batch of gameplay of its upcoming Nintendo Switch Version of Monster Hunter XX, coming with the least imaginative title ever, Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver.

When I said “coming,” I meant coming to Japan, because Capcom has not announced a western localization yet, while the Japanese release is going to be on August 25th.

This time around, we get to see a battle against one of the nasty critters introduced in Monster Hunter Generations (of which this is a remaster of an improved version, talk about triple dipping), the squid-like elder dragon Nakarkos.

The host seem all extremely impressed by the remastered visuals of the game, and that makes me frown a little bit, but I guess it’s their job.

You can check out the video below, and if you want to see more, you can check out the first trailer, a TV commercial, a second one, a batch of recent screenshots, and more gameplay.

Interestingly, a demo was playable during a recent event in Tokyo, and there has been speculation on the possibility that it might be made available on the Nintendo eShop before the game’s release.

If you’re interested in the Monster Hunter franchise as a whole, you can also enjoy the announcement trailer of Monster Hunter World for PS4, Xbox One and PC, the first screenshots, and some rather spectacular gameplay.
